Vitals
We are Michael and Talia Osborne and we have a very fun life. We've been married for 11 years now and have 4 daughters 1, 4, 8, and 10. Yep... we are always on the run and we wouldn't have it any other way. We currently live in the small town of Bath, Maine. We enjoy vacationing in Mexico, riding roller coasters all day, and spending time doing new things.
Who is Mike?
Ever since I was a kid I knew I wanted to own my own business. I had worked the holiday season several years for our Family owned arts and crafts business. So learning how to create was in my DNA you'd say. I was always interested in fixing my own problems. When I was 16 I attempted to build a custom air intake for my sports car. A couple pounds of chicken wire and fiberglass later, I decided to move onto a different project! I designed in Autocad a speaker box to replace the tape cassette holder in my car. I designed, built, and created it all using design software and it came out beautiful. The only problem I had, how in the world do I sell this thing. This was around 1999 and my website building skills were for lack of a better term, garbage! I look back on this today and know I really missed a good opportunity to create my first online business.
Fast forward to college, I was introduced to social marketing, also know as multi level marketing. I was surrounded by successful, well dressed, well spoken business owners that just seemed to have it all together. The message they wanted to get across was creating a business of your own once and getting paid forever, the Bigfoot of Businesses, the almighty residual income model. Today I know there really isn't many ways to create that type of income without working but back then it really got my entrepreneurial spirit ignited. I felt the business model worked, but that I just didn't know how to make it work for me. After a few of my friends thought I was crazy, I quit.
Soon after marrying my wife, I always had it in the back of my mind that we could build a team of entrepreneurs because we loved helping people. So we called up my old sponsor and started our long MLM career. After 6 years, we learned a lifetimes worth of success principles, read 1000's of books, and decided to leave the company.
My original background is in Electrical Marine Design and engineering. After a job loss I found myself floundering to fix our financial situation. Luckily I learned people skills in all those books I read because I sold my way into a job in advertising sales. I knew nothing about cold calling, prospecting, and sales in general but I knew I could study experts in that field and I could just do what they did to become successful. Within 6 months, I was the number 1 sales leader in the region. This part of my life really helped me learn about the power of marketing, branding, and sales skills. Although I have moved on from sales, I love helping people in sales with their sales pitch and offers and have a soft spot for small business owners.
Today I daily work with my wife Talia in our Amazon reselling company and creating this Podcast. We have had our ups and downs through learning the process of Amazon FBA selling but today have created a strong six figure income with a part time commitment. I am now diversifying our income into several different other avenues like product creation, Authoring, creating a sales course, licensing, Partnerships, and even affiliate marketing.
Who is Talia?
When I was a child I dreamed of being a teacher. So, I guess that I have always wanted to help people. I taught preschool special education for 4 years and loved it. I lead a mediocre life and I was ok with that. I thought that was who I was. I wasn’t special. I was just average! I was unambitious and didn’t mind being an employee. Until I met Mike, that is! He introduced me to the world of MLM’s and business owner mind set. After that I was hooked.
Obviously, we were not wildly successful…or successful at all with the MLM. However, what we lacked in growing our business, we made up for in growing ourselves. I began to realize that I was more than this plain Jane that I had always thought myself to be. I was becoming a leader and a fighter. Every “no” did not lead me to a “yes” – it simply lead me closer to being bolder. So, in that time I developed a hunger and passion for helping people in a unique way. Rather than being just a teacher, I have learned to be a mentor/coach and an influencer. Sometimes all we need is some positivety, passion, perseverance, and encouragement from like minded people.
I am the proud mother of 4 girls. And they, as well as Mike, are my reason for putting in the work. There are times where I work too much. I am not a perfect mom, but I know that I am teaching my girls the value of working hard for yourself
.
After the MLM world, Mike and I tried our hand at many businesses. Some were successful, and some were absolute flops. We learned a lesson from each one. But when Mike told me about Amazon, a light went off…more like fireworks went off and I knew this was it. I was excited, and I was ready to work. We had success right out of the gate. This is by far is the easiest thing I have ever done. It’s a lot of work, but I love it.
Nothing is perfect. We have had tons of ups and downs, but through it all Mike has been my rock and I have been his. I am completely stoked about doing this podcast with him by my side. I hope that you can laugh with us, learn with us, and grow with us as we share our journey!

The MIB podcast was created for you! It's for any entrepreneur, married or single, in pursuit of their dreams. We will give our perspective of being married and running a business full time with 4 kids. We have had some success and some failures- All lessons we hope you learn from. Every episode is geared to helping you start, build, and expand a business of your own. We hope to have other fellow entreprenuers on the show to help our audience see several types of ways to create income as a married team, or single individual.
